Leona has been hopping off round the globe this week on a long trail of promotion while Spirit has been climbing up the international charts earning more Platinum and Gold discs on its way.
Leona’s debut album has now gone Platinum in Australia and Canada as well as Gold in Italy, Japan and the US.
But that’s not all as ‘Bleeding Love’ climbs to the top of the Digital Charts in Canada.

Writing from Japan!
Hey Everyone,
The last two weeks have been a whirlwind. I’ve been lucky enough to visit two countries I’ve never been to before and never imagined that I would!
I headed to Australia straight from LA - it was so beautiful flying in and looking out of the plane window, what a stunning country.
I spent about a week there, it was really incredible, I went to the MTV Awards and presented an award with Brian McFadden -he was good fun. I also performed a live event for fans and media, sang on the live final of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ (the dancers are so talented!) and also Sunrise (an early morning TV show)! It was super-busy but I got to perform for a lot of people and take my music to the world, which has always been my biggest dream!
I got to do a bit of sightseeing - I saw the famous bats in the Botanical Gardens (there are literally hundreds and they are SO big!), I did a ferry trip across from Circular Quay harbour (where the Opera House and Harbour Bridge are!) and went for a walk and dinner at Bondi. Lou was with me so it was nice to experience it together.
I can’t wait to go back to Australia and spend more time there. I only experienced Sydney on this visit but I hear the rest of the country is simply incredible!
I then flew onto Tokyo in Japan, which is where I’m currently writing!
I absolutely love it here- the people are so gracious and lovely. I’ve so enjoyed looking around and the shopping (especially in Shibuya & Harajuku!)
I’ve been fortunate enough to perform on some music shows here, Music Fair, Music Station and a breakfast TV called Mezamasshi, they were all incredible fun. I had a translator who came to all the shows with me called Hitomi, she was amazing and even taught me some Japanese words - Arigato!!!
I did a showcase in Tokyo where I performed 4 tracks - the night before there was an earthquake so we were all woken up by it at like 2am! We are staying in the tallest building in Tokyo and you could really feel it swaying! The following day there was another tremor while I was performing! Yikes!!!
I’ve had the most amazing experiences in these countries and I’m so excited about coming back and visiting more in the future, the support I have received is so overwhelming and I am so grateful and thankful to everyone who has made this trip so enjoyable.
So I now head back to LA to shoot my video for ‘Forgive Me’ - I’m not going to tell you the idea behind it, as I want it to be surprise, I’m super excited!

Elsewhere, yesterday Leona is in Tokyo on her Leona trail after visiting Sydney MAC store and continuing her world promo by performing a handful of her tracks from THE INTERNATIONAL VERSION OF SPIRIT:

Yesterday she performed a showcase at the Grand Hyatt ballroom. Attended by the biggest names and taste-makers in Tokyo’s media, the show went down a storm, with Leona belting out phenomenal versions of ‘Better In Time’, ‘The First Time’, ‘Homeless’ and ‘Bleeding Love’.

It's all drama in the world of Leona Lewis.
The hot popster got more than she bargained for when she hit Japan recently...
In the way of not one but two minor earthquakes.
But before you begin fretting, Leona's luckily emerged unscathed, if a tad shaken, from the experience.
It all went down when the hip lady of the minute kicked off the Tokyo leg of her tour to promote her hit album Spirit.
The first quake hit in the middle of the night, when Leona was asleep in her hotel room in the penthouse suite of Tokyo's Grand Hyatt hotel, one of the city's tallest buildings.
The force of the shake, measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale, jolted her awake.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Leona was really shaken up but called home to tell her family she was OK."
Leona's rep told Sky Showbiz that the 23-year-old singer was then caught up in another quake while she was performing on stage later on.
However, he told us that luckily it was so minor, Leona didn't realise it had actually happened until other people informed her about it afterwards.
Let's hope that spells the end of her earthquake sagas.

Earlier today wikipedia have updated the "Forgive Me" page and somebody has posted this snippet of information on the page, whether it is true or not we are yet to confer and wikipedia have also suggested citation is needed.
"Forgive Me" is a song recorded by Leona Lewis for her debut album, Spirit (2007). The Akon-produced track does not appear on the main release of Spirit, but on its American edition. It was confirmed in an interview with Music Weekly magazine with Sony BMG that Lewis will be filming a music video for "Forgive Me" in May 2008.
And Leona is back on the top - number one in the USA again, the bleeding love track has been flying high against the charts of USA:
Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" keeps the lead on the Billboard Hot 100 as the track holds tight at No. 1 for a fourth non-consecutive week. This week's biggest airplay gainer, Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" featuring Static Major, follows suit, gripping No. 2 for second week. What a stunning performance, she always peforms with the greatest efforts. But I have to say this is an especially amazing peformance with shock value to it! The crowd cheers her on in her intriguing capabilities to hold up notes and reach the pitches for the finale section in the smash-hit bleeding love. There is some news that you just know is unlikely.
Here we have some new "news" but if this is true Leona would be going against her own principles. Leona, said several times she is happy for her body shape and wouldn't worry about being size 0. She is in fact promoting the opposite, like the PETA Strip news stating Leona would strip down for animal rights protesting when she already stated previous she would not ever, at least in the next few years, be confident enough to pose naked. We'll just wait and see, here's your dosage of FACT or FICTION this week:
"Patricia Gay, the woman who recently helped Mariah Carey drop two dress sizes, has been enlisted to tone up Leona in preparation for her next music video.
An inside source told press, “Some of her team think she needs to be a bit sexier if she wants to have the longevity of female artists like Mariah, Janet Jackson or Madonna. They think that having Leona train with Patricia would be a treat for her because she adores Mariah. She will go to Patricia’s base in the Caribbean for some intensive sessions and then Patricia will visit her regularly to continue the project.”

The X Factor Tour is over and the winner of last years Xfactor, who followed in the footsteps of Leona, is back in the studio recording his latest album.
Leon Jackson (born 30 December 1988) is a Scottish singer who debut with a cover of "When You Believe."
On 11 February 2008, Jackson began the X Factor Live tour in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland with other acts from the 2007 show. He continued the tour in other venues around the UK until 21 March where the tour finished at London's Wembley Arena, thus concluding The X Factor 2007. His latest blog he mentions Leona:
"...Also I would like to take this opportunity to wish Leona a special congratulations on her recent U.S success getting no.1 – that was amazing & very inspiring. U go girrrl!"
His debut Album is said to be work in progress and will not be "rushed out" like many of the other xfactor/idol uk winners. Like Leona's which was released 11 months after Lewis won series 3 of the show.The singer is rumoured to be working with Calvin Harris on certain tracks. The album is expected to drop this year in the UK.

Writing from Japan!
Hey Everyone,
The last two weeks have been a whirlwind. I’ve been lucky enough to visit two countries I’ve never been to before and never imagined that I would!
I headed to Australia straight from LA - it was so beautiful flying in and looking out of the plane window, what a stunning country.
I spent about a week there, it was really incredible, I went to the MTV Awards and presented an award with Brian McFadden -he was good fun. I also performed a live event for fans and media, sang on the live final of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ (the dancers are so talented!) and also Sunrise (an early morning TV show)! It was super-busy but I got to perform for a lot of people and take my music to the world, which has always been my biggest dream!
I got to do a bit of sightseeing - I saw the famous bats in the Botanical Gardens (there are literally hundreds and they are SO big!), I did a ferry trip across from Circular Quay harbour (where the Opera House and Harbour Bridge are!) and went for a walk and dinner at Bondi. Lou was with me so it was nice to experience it together.
I can’t wait to go back to Australia and spend more time there. I only experienced Sydney on this visit but I hear the rest of the country is simply incredible!
I then flew onto Tokyo in Japan, which is where I’m currently writing!
I absolutely love it here- the people are so gracious and lovely. I’ve so enjoyed looking around and the shopping (especially in Shibuya & Harajuku!)
I’ve been fortunate enough to perform on some music shows here, Music Fair, Music Station and a breakfast TV called Mezamasshi, they were all incredible fun. I had a translator who came to all the shows with me called Hitomi, she was amazing and even taught me some Japanese words - Arigato!!!
I did a showcase in Tokyo where I performed 4 tracks - the night before there was an earthquake so we were all woken up by it at like 2am! We are staying in the tallest building in Tokyo and you could really feel it swaying! The following day there was another tremor while I was performing! Yikes!!!
I’ve had the most amazing experiences in these countries and I’m so excited about coming back and visiting more in the future, the support I have received is so overwhelming and I am so grateful and thankful to everyone who has made this trip so enjoyable.
So I now head back to LA to shoot my video for ‘Forgive Me’ - I’m not going to tell you the idea behind it, as I want it to be surprise, I’m super excited!

Yesterday she performed a showcase at the Grand Hyatt ballroom. Attended by the biggest names and taste-makers in Tokyo’s media, the show went down a storm, with Leona belting out phenomenal versions of ‘Better In Time’, ‘The First Time’, ‘Homeless’ and ‘Bleeding Love’.

It's all drama in the world of Leona Lewis.
The hot popster got more than she bargained for when she hit Japan recently...
In the way of not one but two minor earthquakes.
But before you begin fretting, Leona's luckily emerged unscathed, if a tad shaken, from the experience.
It all went down when the hip lady of the minute kicked off the Tokyo leg of her tour to promote her hit album Spirit.
The first quake hit in the middle of the night, when Leona was asleep in her hotel room in the penthouse suite of Tokyo's Grand Hyatt hotel, one of the city's tallest buildings.
The force of the shake, measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale, jolted her awake.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Leona was really shaken up but called home to tell her family she was OK."
Leona's rep told Sky Showbiz that the 23-year-old singer was then caught up in another quake while she was performing on stage later on.
However, he told us that luckily it was so minor, Leona didn't realise it had actually happened until other people informed her about it afterwards.
Let's hope that spells the end of her earthquake sagas.

Earlier today wikipedia have updated the "Forgive Me" page and somebody has posted this snippet of information on the page, whether it is true or not we are yet to confer and wikipedia have also suggested citation is needed.
"Forgive Me" is a song recorded by Leona Lewis for her debut album, Spirit (2007). The Akon-produced track does not appear on the main release of Spirit, but on its American edition. It was confirmed in an interview with Music Weekly magazine with Sony BMG that Lewis will be filming a music video for "Forgive Me" in May 2008.
And Leona is back on the top - number one in the USA again, the bleeding love track has been flying high against the charts of USA:
Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" keeps the lead on the Billboard Hot 100 as the track holds tight at No. 1 for a fourth non-consecutive week. This week's biggest airplay gainer, Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" featuring Static Major, follows suit, gripping No. 2 for second week. Leona has been spotted at the Australian Museum of Art Soundcheck Leona is still in Aussie since the MTV Awards, the soundcheck for Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday - the highest profile performance she is yet to do so far in her career.

What a stunning performance, she always peforms with the greatest efforts. But I have to say this is an especially amazing peformance with shock value to it! The crowd cheers her on in her intriguing capabilities to hold up notes and reach the pitches for the finale section in the smash-hit bleeding love. There is some news that you just know is unlikely.
Here we have some new "news" but if this is true Leona would be going against her own principles. Leona, said several times she is happy for her body shape and wouldn't worry about being size 0. She is in fact promoting the opposite, like the PETA Strip news stating Leona would strip down for animal rights protesting when she already stated previous she would not ever, at least in the next few years, be confident enough to pose naked. We'll just wait and see, here's your dosage of FACT or FICTION this week:
"Patricia Gay, the woman who recently helped Mariah Carey drop two dress sizes, has been enlisted to tone up Leona in preparation for her next music video.

The X Factor Tour is over and the winner of last years Xfactor, who followed in the footsteps of Leona, is back in the studio recording his latest album.
Leon Jackson (born 30 December 1988) is a Scottish singer who debut with a cover of "When You Believe."
On 11 February 2008, Jackson began the X Factor Live tour in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland with other acts from the 2007 show. He continued the tour in other venues around the UK until 21 March where the tour finished at London's Wembley Arena, thus concluding The X Factor 2007. His latest blog he mentions Leona:
"...Also I would like to take this opportunity to wish Leona a special congratulations on her recent U.S success getting no.1 – that was amazing & very inspiring. U go girrrl!"
His debut Album is said to be work in progress and will not be "rushed out" like many of the other xfactor/idol uk winners. Like Leona's which was released 11 months after Lewis won series 3 of the show.The singer is rumoured to be working with Calvin Harris on certain tracks. The album is expected to drop this year in the UK.

Writing from Japan!
Hey Everyone,
The last two weeks have been a whirlwind. I’ve been lucky enough to visit two countries I’ve never been to before and never imagined that I would!
I headed to Australia straight from LA - it was so beautiful flying in and looking out of the plane window, what a stunning country.
I spent about a week there, it was really incredible, I went to the MTV Awards and presented an award with Brian McFadden -he was good fun. I also performed a live event for fans and media, sang on the live final of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ (the dancers are so talented!) and also Sunrise (an early morning TV show)! It was super-busy but I got to perform for a lot of people and take my music to the world, which has always been my biggest dream!

The first quake hit in the middle of the night, when Leona was asleep in her hotel room in the penthouse suite of Tokyo's Grand Hyatt hotel, one of the city's tallest buildings.
The force of the shake, measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale, jolted her awake.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Leona was really shaken up but called home to tell her family she was OK."
Leona's rep told Sky Showbiz that the 23-year-old singer was then caught up in another quake while she was performing on stage later on.
However, he told us that luckily it was so minor, Leona didn't realise it had actually happened until other people informed her about it afterwards.
Let's hope that spells the end of her earthquake sagas.

Earlier today wikipedia have updated the "Forgive Me" page and somebody has posted this snippet of information on the page, whether it is true or not we are yet to confer and wikipedia have also suggested citation is needed.
"Forgive Me" is a song recorded by Leona Lewis for her debut album, Spirit (2007). The Akon-produced track does not appear on the main release of Spirit, but on its American edition. It was confirmed in an interview with Music Weekly magazine with Sony BMG that Lewis will be filming a music video for "Forgive Me" in May 2008.
And Leona is back on the top - number one in the USA again, the bleeding love track has been flying high against the charts of USA:

So leona has been travelling! UK, to the States (transferring for her US promotion) then straight from AI 2008 to Australia...
Leona has been spotted at the Australian Museum of Art Soundcheck Leona is still in Aussie since the MTV Awards, the soundcheck for Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday - the highest profile performance she is yet to do so far in her career.

Here we have some new "news" but if this is true Leona would be going against her own principles. Leona, said several times she is happy for her body shape and wouldn't worry about being size 0. She is in fact promoting the opposite, like the PETA Strip news stating Leona would strip down for animal rights protesting when she already stated previous she would not ever, at least in the next few years, be confident enough to pose naked. We'll just wait and see, here's your dosage of FACT or FICTION this week:

The X Factor Tour is over and the winner of last years Xfactor, who followed in the footsteps of Leona, is back in the studio recording his latest album.
Leon Jackson (born 30 December 1988) is a Scottish singer who debut with a cover of "When You Believe."
On 11 February 2008, Jackson began the X Factor Live tour in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland with other acts from the 2007 show. He continued the tour in other venues around the UK until 21 March where the tour finished at London's Wembley Arena, thus concluding The X Factor 2007. His latest blog he mentions Leona:
"...Also I would like to take this opportunity to wish Leona a special congratulations on her recent U.S success getting no.1 – that was amazing & very inspiring. U go girrrl!"
His debut Album is said to be work in progress and will not be "rushed out" like many of the other xfactor/idol uk winners. Like Leona's which was released 11 months after Lewis won series 3 of the show.The singer is rumoured to be working with Calvin Harris on certain tracks. The album is expected to drop this year in the UK.
